Did you see it? MOPS International has announced their 2016-2017 Theme: Starry-Eyed.*
I do a lot of speaking at MOPS group meetings—I just love serving these Mothers of Preschoolers! But when I first saw this year’s theme, I thought, Uh-oh.
At first “Starry-Eyed” sounded a little fru-fru… like a lovely dream, but a bit impractical. Then I read what the theme description actually says and I thought, I have a lot to share here, after all!
If you’ve heard me speak, you know that my talks are about much more than organizing. I talk about scripture, I talk about my life, I talk about yours. My talks are really about ridding ourselves of anxiety and choosing to live in the abundance of Christ. They’re about… well, being Starry-Eyed, “the choice to live fully and wholly and to breathe our way back to life.”*
Even if your moms’ group isn’t connected to MOPS International, you’ll love their goals for moms this coming year:
Wonder: “Wonder washes away any trace of stagnancy or hesitancy, any desire to numb the day away.”
Hope: “Audacious hope [unravels] fear… Hope is convinced that light is ahead of us and the path will unfold as we take our next step.”
Kindness: “We are no longer spectators wishing for change, we are participants bringing warmth and light.”
Choose to bless others! Start your kindness with Christian Hospitality.
Moms’ group leaders, please contact me so we can create a fabulous, starry-eyed meeting for your moms this coming year.* My fee hasn’t changed. My speaking schedule is first-come, first-served. Right now the sky’s the limit, so just ask for the topic and the date you’d like! And if you think your moms’ group can’t afford to fly me in from Ohio, check out my Time Management Video Meeting.
I love the way MOPS International put this:
“If you feel anxious and don’t know why… If you are busy and distracted from the things you truly care about… If you are restless for an unexpected encounter with God… If you long to feel alive, to regain a sense of wonder, to hope a little freer and to be a powerful force of kindness in the world, then we’d love for you to join us in becoming Starry Eyed.”
I’d love to help you along the way.
