Read it! This is a look back at the “Being Instrumental with Paul” series.
You may want to review any notes you’ve made, actions you’ve taken,
or prayers you’ve written.
Think it through
When I started this series on the life of Paul, I had no idea how meaningful it would be to me. Acts is a powerful book about the spread of the Gospel of Christ and I love it! But when you distill Acts to a view of Paul’s life like we just did, it can hit you in a different and equally powerful way.
Paul was an instrument of God like few other men have been. His story showed me that God’s instruments are willing to…
- Suffer for His name
- Share the Gospel of Christ
- Listen for God’s special calling
- Learn and grow
- Fully rely on God
- Admit when they’re wrong
- Place their full confidence in their Lord
- Trust God to overcome their obstacles
And Paul shows us that true instruments are not just willing, but eager! Paul’s life is a beautiful example of someone who is all in for Jesus Christ. He surrenders His entire life to the Gospel, to his Lord.
How I admire that; how I want that to be what people would say of me if my story were written!
Live it like you mean it
So, are you all in for Jesus? Are you eager to be God’s instrument?
I hope so, because in the next series we’re going to be looking at some things that might hold us back. Get ready for a rather “tough love” look at our lives and actions in the “Straight Talk with Amos” series! I pray that you’ll join me and be challenged with me!
Lift it up
Lord, I’m so thankful for the time I’ve spent with Paul through Your Word. He’s such an example for my heart. Lord I want to be all in for You, just like Paul. Help me to continue to learn about the life You would have me lead through Paul’s story, his letters, and my blogging efforts. You are worthy of great praise; You are worthy of my life. Amen
Tell Me About It
What traits do you see in God’s instruments, the people you know who are all in for Jesus?
