It’s about organizing YOU—
helping you to live intentionally for Jesus.
Hi, I’m Shannon Upton, a Christian speaker and author. I want to help you clear out your spiritual clutter so you can fully enjoy your family and grow closer to the Lord.
I’m a follower of Jesus Christ who loves to read the Bible. I blog about living abundantly through Bible study and right thinking. I post “Devotions with a Kick” that challenge us to live intentionally for Christ, and “Thought Shots” to help us fight anxiety (the worst kind of spiritual clutter). Be sure to follow the blog so I can share these monthly posts with you!
I’m an organizer and have always wanted perfect closets. As a child, I forced my little sister to help me organize my bedroom on a regular basis. Then, as a stay-at-home mom with three amazing kids and a wonderful husband, I learned about functional, realistic organizing! Now I love to help women just like you become “organized enough” to truly enjoy life.
I’m a speaker. I love informing and entertaining audiences while sharing my ministry message. I’ve crafted ten organizing talks and one keynote talk, and I’d love to speak to your group! (If your moms’ group doesn’t have the budget to fly me in, check out my Time Management Video Meeting.)
I’m the author of the Organizing You books, Christian self-help books that will teach you how to clear out your spiritual clutter, along with the clutter in your home and schedule. I’ve also written two free group Bible studies to help you take the Organizing You journey with friends, diving even deeper into God’s word. And I’m coming up with more tremendous resources for you all the time—be sure to join my email list so you don’t miss them!
I’m a teacher. Before becoming a mom, I taught high school math, from Pre-algebra to Calculus. My special gift in the classroom was being able to explain difficult material in a way the kids could really understand. I now educate women about how to clear out the clutter in their schedules, homes, and spirits.
I’m an encourager and I love to share organizing ideas, prayers, and scriptures with my Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter followers. I’m also a learner who’s always trying new things. I cherish family time and fun activities, so I’m slightly addicted to Pinterest. I also love to read books and post short reviews on Goodreads. I’d love it if you’d follow me on your favorite kind of social media!
And, I’m an anxiety fighter who struggled with a postpartum anxiety disorder for four years. I developed the concept of spiritual clutter after going through that difficult time. Through organization and surrender, I’ve learned how to overcome anxiety—and I want to share that with you!
Finally, I am blessed. The Lord allowed me to struggle with clinical anxiety, and then healed me of it, for His purpose. Without the grace of that experience—without His grace—I never would have written these books, began a public speaking ministry, or started blogging! I’m humbled but excited to share my God-granted wisdom and experience with you.
At my core, I’m a dedicated wife and mother of three with a passion for living with intention. My family lives in Central Ohio and we love every season. Just like you, my husband, Travis, and I are raising our kids to love Jesus and their family.
I’d love for you to come alongside me so we can walk this path together! Let’s clear out our spiritual clutter and make more room for joy.

Shannon is funny, easy to relate to, and has so much wisdom to share when it comes to effectively organizing, maintaining, and running a household. I’m not just saying this because she’s my sister and I love her dearly—I really do believe that God is using her in mighty ways to encourage and build into other moms.
